ParticipantHello! I am Katie.
Why you have signed up for this course? I am a senior in an Athletic Training Program and I am working on advancing myself to gain knowledge in sports psychology.
What is your favourite sport? I played lacrosse for 5 years before going to college, so that is my favorite. However, since experiencing different clinical rotations, I have come to love basketball and football.
Do you play sport or involved in coaching? I no longer play a sport and I am not involved with coaching.
Do you have any experience of psychology or sport psychology? I have taken a psychology course at my university that I was very interested in.
What are you hoping to get out of this course? I am hoping to learn all I can about sports psychology and that it makes me a much more qualified future athletic trainer.September 12, 2016 at 12:04 am #16605jakielaj
ParticipantI am the clinical education coordinator of the Athletic Training Education Program at my university. I minored in psychology during my undergraduate studies so when I found out about this course I was interested to see what new information I could learn and apply to the realm of Athletic Training. I’m excited to continue my exposure to a sector of athletics that I feel doesn’t always get the attention it deserves.

ParticipantHi my name is Julian. I signed up for this course because I have been long interested in Sport Psychology and have always wanted to have a formal training on it. My favorite sports are swimming, basketball, tennis and golf. I still do a little of these sports as exercise/leisure activities. I have been involved in training athletes of different sports and competitive levels on their mental game using the Mental Toughness Training Program since 2000 when I completed my PhD degree in Counseling Psychology. After completing this course, I wish to have a clearer theoretical framework for my work with my athlete-clients and a more comprehensive understanding of Sport Psychology. I would also be interested in teaching the course. I would also like to thank Dr Terry and the team for giving me and many others this grand opportunity!
