In Taiwan, rugby is a symbol of muscular sport which is introduced by Japanese during its colonization from 1895 to 1945. After Japanese left, the spirit of rugby is still popular in Taiwan. Especially, a very famous high school named Chin-Kuo Municipal High School of Taipei has rugby team wearing black suits for competition and training. They has been called “black army.” The team members of black army entered universities around Taiwan and other places in the world. Many of them now become the elite class of the society of Taiwan. Each time when they go together, they recall those harsh moments of rugby, and believe the spirit of rugby make them as tough as steel in their future lives. Wearing a black suits for rugby and engaging rugby sport in their young age become a pride part of these elite people in Taiwan.
