I'm 53 and I live in Brazil. I've always been fond of sports since my childhood. I started playing basketball at age 7 but wanted to be a professional soccer player. As a teenager, at 16, I ended up liking basketball more because I was already a professional player of high performance and this sport paid my studies. At this age and for two years I was a base coach in basketball with children under 14 years. In 1982, at age 20, I was a member of the Brazilian National Basketball Team. I left the football but simultaneously with the basketball, practiced cycling and triathlon as complementary sports, and I still graduated in Electrical Engineering in 1988 and then in Physical Education. Then did the Master Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1889. Still studying and as a professional basketball player in 1990 I got successfully passing in a contest for Petroleum Engineering in a large state-owned company in Brazil called Petrobras having been graduate in its in two year of superior course. In 1991 I started working in this area and also playing basketball. In 1999 I left the professionalism in basketball as an athlete but continued to play and participate in state and national championships until 2004 for pleasure. Starting this year, at 42, I decided to focus more on my profession as a Petroleum Engineer and only participating in national and international competitions of basketball for Master category. I deeply dedicated to the education of my two children, which my wife Izabel and I, we direct them to practice sports until they are at least 18 years. Currently still serving as Petroleum Engineer and for pleasure has developed methods of detection and development of talent in basketball as well as texts in order to help coaches in basketball education for youth people.
